The preaching of the Word of God and the praise of his people are the heart of our worship at People’s.

The music ministry exists to touch the heart of God’s people and bring glory to Him through music. It is our desire to “Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; show forth His salvation from day to day.” Psalm 96:2.  Words of praise and worship fill the Scriptures, and it is our privilege to worship the Lord through song. The choir, orchestra, ensembles, and soloists feature music that is inspirational and designed to uplift the heart of God’s people and speak to the needs of those who do not know Jesus.

The Adult Choir and Orchestra

The choir and orchestra of People’s Baptist are a dedicated group of singers and players that come from all walks of life and join together for the purpose of glorifying our Savior.  The choir and orchestra perform every Sunday morning and evening under the direction of Pastor Michael Bennett.  In addition to the weekly services, the choir and orchestra also serve in annual Christmas and Easter programs, and other special performances.  The choir and orchestra provide a unique opportunity for those who wish to serve the Lord with their musical talents.  For more information you may call Pastor Bennett at 252.756.2822.

Student Choirs

At People’s we believe in training our children to praise the Lord in worship.  The Youth Choir is under the direction of Doug Weber, youth pastor at PBC.  The youth choir sings regularly in the Wednesday night services.  The PBC Children’s Choirs are made up of two divisions: K5-2^nd grade and 3^rd – 6^th grades.  These groups sing regularly in the Sunday night services.
